Diff and rear end rebuild

After a great summer and a log book that has reached 45 days of driving in the last 11 months, it is time to pull the diff and rear springs out and rebuild the diff centre, install a LSD and replace the rear bushes that have not already been done.

I have had the LDS centre in readiness for the replacement of the open wheel diff centre.

This winter, it is time to do a rebuild.

Diff out with springs.

Trying to figure out the colour codes on the tail sharft and the springs.

The drum brake assembly before disassemble.

Once disassembled I then acid wash the parts and prep them for painting and reinstall.

The iner diff parts have been degreased and will be reinstalled.

Here is the drum brake backing plate that has been acid washed.

Then onto painting the parts including the bolts and nuts.
